Disclaimer: I received a UV Buff to review as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!
Since becoming a BibRave Pro, I have had the opportunity to try out a couple of Buff products, such as the Buff Thermal Hoodie, and the Merino Wool Buff. I have also purchased the original buff and wind proof hoodie. We have even purchased Buff products for the kids. So when given the chance to try out the UV Buff, it was a no brainier. I also got to select from a wide verity of options of which Buff I wanted. My first choice was the Team USA Buff. What can I say, I am a proud American.
What sets the UV Buff appart from the original Buff is that the UV Buff blocks 95% of the the Suns harmful ultraviolet rays from your skin and at the same time, keeps you cool. Just like the others Buffs, the UV Buff is multi-functional, with at least 12 ways of wearing them. My favorite remains the pirate.
Derek seems to prefer the hood look
Some of the other features of the UV Buff are:
- No itchy seems
- Moisture management, pulling the sweat off your skin
- Odor resistant
- Dries quickly after a run even if you poor water on yourself
- Wind resistant
- Thermal protected(I like to wear it on cooler morning runs as well)
- Also stretches out well and returns to its original firm.
For me, I keep my hair very short, so I use the “pirate” look to protect my head from the suns rays. If you have longer hair, you can use it around your neck, or maybe as a headband or Sahariane or foulard.
Or you can just pretend to be pirates with the kids.
As you can see there are many uses for the UV Buff. And it’s not just for running. I plan on wearing it throughout the summer when outside playing with the kids, mowing the lawn, or while at the beach. The UV Buff is also popular amongst those who enjoy fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. Options are truly limited with the UV Buff. Speaking of limitless, there are so many different designs to choose from, so check them out! We will be going on vacation in Smoky Mountains this summer so we will be purchasing some for the whole family for when we go hiking. I got my eye on a couple others I am wanting.
